meet your elopement & intimate wedding photographer
I was chatting with my Dad recently, about the first camera he ever bought - an Olympus film camera when he was 18 - in the Solomon Islands where he lived for a short time as a young adult.
The reason for buying the camera, he said, was that he wanted to capture the surrounding landscapes to remember his time there. He kept that camera for at least the next 12 years until I came along - documenting adventures, motorbikes, cars and anything else he thought interesting. Some films never seeing the light of day.
Sometimes a photograph is the only way to take a place with you when you leave.
I didn't realise until then, and it sounds cliche to say - but I've always been drawn to photography, and now I better understand why:
I'm drawn to wild places
Coffee is life support. I'm a big foodie and not a big drinker.
New Zealand is my favourite place in the world (Tassie is a close 2nd...)
I believe people need to spend more time outside in beautiful, peaceful places.
I'll give most things a go... except bungee jumping.
I'm a Chihuahua mum, a trail runner & a mountain biker
My photography journey didn't start with couples - it actually begun with sports. As a keen mountain biker and trail runner, I naturally gravitated towards photographing what I enjoyed to do personally.
I loved capturing people when they least expected it, in different moments throughout their event - the triumphs, the struggles, the emotions - all of it.
Capturing love happened slowly, but organically. Friends getting engaged, people I knew getting married, I was excited to be a part of their story, and more importantly, I wanted to give them lasting memories with photography that they could share with their families and loved ones.
I now head into elopements & intimate weddings with intention to get to know your love story, so I can tell it back to you with timeless, cinematic imagery.
I also have a deep love of travel and being in new, wild places.
To get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities, and escape to the quieter places that feel peaceful and rejuvenating. A reminder that there's so much more out there than our residential bubble.
Being able to help couples experience these escapes, even just for a weekend, fills me with purpose.
I can't wait to see how you want to spend your wedding day.
Being able to spend time with couples during some of the most incredible, memorable, and intimate milestones of their relationship - it's the most fulfilling feeling, and to give you snapshots of moments that you'll look back on for a lifetime.
If you’re looking for a calm, organised photographer who blends into the background - whether on a mountaintop, a hidden beach, or just with the two of you - we’ll get along perfectly.
As a photographer, I believe in being thoroughly prepared. You can feel confident knowing I’ve considered every detail of your wedding or elopement — big and small — so that when the day comes, everything flows seamlessly and you can simply enjoy the experience.
My goal is to make you forget about the camera and focus entirely on why you’re here: to celebrate your love and the commitment you’re making to each other. That way, your photos become an honest reflection of your connection, not an overly posed performance.
